They have been especially hard-hit by the COVID-19 economic crisis, with minority and woman-owned small businesses being hit the hardest. Legal volunteers have offered to help Colorado’s small businesses get back on their feet. This website was created to match small businesses that need limited legal advice regarding COVID-19 related issues with volunteer lawyers. The site also includes other resources available to small businesses, particularly minority and woman-owned small businesses, to meet the challenges of the pandemic.

The Coalition to Back Black Businesses

The Coalition to Back Black Businesses Grant

The CBBB will distribute $5,000 grants to selected applicants each fall, followed by mentorship and training, and a select few will receive $25,000 enhancement grants the following summer. Applicants must be a Black-owned business in an economically vulnerable community that have been harmed financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. The application opens in August, and applicants must express interest by registering on their website. Eligible applicants will be randomly selected to complete a full grant application.
